STUART YOUNG

With over 25 years experience of building businesses and brands in consumer goods and retail, Stuart joined the Holdsport business in 2016 as the CEO of Performance Brands, the group’s wholesale and manufacturing division. In 2023 he was appointed as the CEO of Sportsmans Warehouse and later that year also took on the additional responsibility of Chief Operating Officer for the group. Following the acquisition of Holdsport Group by the UK-based Frasers Group in 2025, Stuart was appointed as Group CEO of Holdsport Group.

MIREILLE LEVENSTEIN

Mireille has over 20 years’ experience in finance and operations in both listed and unlisted space. Mireille joined Holdsport in October 2022, after holding the position of CFO of Long4Life Limited, which listed on the JSE and owned Holdsport before being acquired by Old Mutual Private Equity. Prior to that, Mireille was CFO of Paracon for 16 years, an ICT services group formerly listed on of JSE.

INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVES
Dave Forsey

Dave Forsey is a non-executive director at Holdsport. He is General Manager for the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) region for the Frasers Group, Holdsport’s ultimate shareholder. He is best known for his long and influential career at Sports Direct International, now known as Frasers Group, spending over three decades shaping one of the United Kingdom’s most recognized retail empires. His professional journey, leadership style, and dedication to business growth make him one of the most respected figures in British retail.

James France

James France was appointed as a non-executive director of Holdsport with effect from September 2025 when Frasers acquired the company. James joined Frasers in October 2016. He is a senior member of the leadership team at Frasers and is responsible for the global real estate portfolio, which includes over 1,500 stores and a multi-billion-rand real estate investment portfolio. James also leads M&A activities at Frasers Group, growing strategic licensing partnerships globally and overseeing other corporate activities. He previously held the position of Group Head of Real Estate and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
